Trauma

When past experiences shape how you feel today...

Some experiences stay with us.
They show up in the present — in our emotions, in our relationships, and in our bodies — even when we can’t put the whole story into words.

You might notice…

- feeling “too much” or “not enough”
- repeating patterns in relationships
- difficulty trusting or feeling close to others
- shutting down or withdrawing when overwhelmed
- worry or anxiety that’s hard to soothe
- a lingering sense of shame or not belonging
- disconnecting from how you feel to cope

These are not personal failings.
They are protective responses — shaped by what you’ve been through.

Your mind and body learned how to survive.
Now they may be asking for something different.

Trauma therapy

Trauma isn’t only about what happened

It is also about:

- what was too much

- what wasn’t enough

- how alone you felt with it

Many of the people I work with say:

- “I don’t understand why I feel this way.”
- “I keep repeating the same patterns.”
- “I don’t feel like myself.”

Together, we can gently explore what your body, emotions, and relationships have been trying to tell you.

How therapy can help

Trauma therapy offers:

- a safe relationship where your feelings make sense
- space to soften self-criticism and understand protective patterns
- support for your nervous system to find steadier footing
- more capacity for connection, choice, and presence
- hope, even when things feel stuck

We’ll go at a pace that feels right for you.
Your system leads, we follow with care.

EMDR
Brainspotting

Healing the relationship with yourself

As we work together, you may find:

- more self-compassion
- less overwhelm
- new ways to relate to others
- greater confidence in your boundaries
- a deeper sense of who you are and what you need

Healing doesn’t erase the past, but it can transform the way it lives inside you.

Therapeutic approaches

Depending on your needs, our work may include:

- Relational therapy — healing through talking therapy and connection

- EMDR — processing overwhelming experiences safely

- Brainspotting — accessing deeper layers of healing through the body

- Somatic approaches — supporting nervous system regulation

We will decide together what feels helpful at each step.
