Brainspotting Therapy

Going deeper, gently — when talking isn’t enough

Some feelings live deeper than words.
Sometimes we know something is there —
but we can’t explain it, or we shut down when we try.

Brainspotting is a therapy that helps the brain and body process those deeper layers of experience — the ones that talking alone can’t always reach.

It can feel like unlocking something that’s been held inside for a long time.

How it works

Where we look affects how we feel.
Brainspotting uses a specific eye position — a “brainspot” — that connects with the body’s natural healing processes.

As we locate and stay with what feels activated or blocked, your system begins to:

- release stored tension
- soften emotional overwhelm
- integrate what was too much before
- restore a sense of safety and connection

All within the support of our therapeutic relationship.

When Brainspotting can help

It is especially useful when you:

- feel shut down or numb when talking about the past
- sense emotions but can’t find the words
- feel “stuck” even after other therapies
- have reactions that feel bigger than the situation
- want change at a deeper, more embodied level

Your body remembers — and it also knows how to heal.

How Brainspotting works

Gently accessing what the body holds.
You are always in control of the process.
We follow your system, not force anything.

Together we:

- Notice what arises in your body
- Stay with sensations at a tolerable pace
- Allow your nervous system to find completion and relief

There is no right way to do this.
Your internal world leads — we listen with curiosity and care.

A relational and attuned approach

Brainspotting works best when you feel safe with the person beside you.
I offer steady, grounding presence throughout —
co-regulating and guiding as needed.

You never have to go anywhere alone.
